Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: La Residence, Cape Winelands

Begin this incredible 5-day escape by travelling outside of Cape Town to Inverdoorn Game Reserve. Enjoy an amazing guided game drive through the game reserve in an open-air 4×4 safari vehicle, viewing the incredible wildlife, bird species and plant life that occupy this exquisite reserve. After the game drive, enjoy lunch under the trees, followed by an optional tour of the Western Cape Cheetah Conservation programme before travelling to La Residence in Franschhoek to overnight. Day 2: La Residence, Cape Winelands

Enjoy a day of wining and dining in the beautiful Cape Winelands. After a scrumptious breakfast, set out to visit a selection of wine estates along the three main wine routes of the Cape Winelands; Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. At each farm, enjoy an informative wine tasting complete with either light snacks or pairing on offer. Where applicable, enjoy a cellar tour, vineyard tour and explanation of the winemaking process. Day 3 – 4: Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, Cape Town

After breakfast, travel to the coastal town of Betty’s Bay to view a thriving colony of African penguins. After a tour of the penguin colony, continue to Hermanus, a historic fishing village famed for its recurring population of southern right whales that visit the warm waters of the Cape between the months of August and November to nurse and calve their young. If in season, enjoy a boat ride into the bay for a closer look at these superb creatures.

After lunch at the harbour, travel to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve. Spend the next two nights in this nature reserve paradise, enjoying the views, nature-based excursions, incredible cuisine and much more.

Day 5

Following breakfast, transfer to Cape Town International Airport for outbound journey.
