Another win for the Mother City, Cape Town’s much-loved neighbourhood, Kalk Bay, has been named the world’s coolest neighbourhood in an article published by Forbes.
A favourite destination among locals and tourists alike, Kalk Bay’s gorgeous seaside location, complete with quaint boutique stores, trendy cafes and awesome restaurants, make it a must-see destination for travellers visiting Cape Town.
Boasting picturesque views, scrumptious cuisine, a relaxed vibe and cobblestoned secret side streets that lead to hidden gems and secret stores, it’s not a wonder that this former seaside village made the top ten, and even better, ranked as the top spot.
As well as Kalk Bay, Johannesburg’s Maboneng district also made the list as one of the world’s top coolest neighbourhoods. Ranking at number 8, Maboneng beat leading neighbourhoods Manhattan in New York and Soho in London.
