Bateleur Safari Camp

Greater Kruger, South Africa

About Bateleur Safari Camp

Named after the Bateleur eagle, whose tail mimics the bob and sway of a tightrope walker, Bateleur Safari Camp is a private eco-lodge in the heart of the Timbavati.

Situated adjacent to the Kruger National Park and bordering the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, the camp bears witness to plenty of thrilling game sightings thanks to the no-fence policy of the Greater Kruger area which allows wildlife to roam freely.

Intimate and private, Bateleur Safari Camp accommodates a maximum of 16 guests in either standard or family suites. Each suite is tented, complete with modern amenities and is assigned the Shangaan name of one of the area’s famous animals.

Dedicated to conservation and committed to a leave-no-trace, zero-footprint philosophy, Bateleur Safari Camp is one of the leading eco safari camps in Southern Africa, powered completely by solar energy and using only naturally occurring water sources.

With incredible game viewing opportunities, an education in bushcraft and survival tactics, friendly staff and unforgettable cuisine, a stay at Bateleur Safari Camp will be remembered for years to come.
