About Jabulani

A five-star luxury lodge with a difference, Jabulani is one of the top Kruger National Park camps that guarantees its guests a one-of-a-kind experience with the African bush and its inhabitants.

A touching story, Jabulani’s history is deeply rooted in fresh starts and second chances. Named so after the first elephant, a four-month-old injured and abandoned calf rescued by the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, Jabulani was created as a space of safety and sanctuary for a number of rehabilitated, human-raised elephants that could not be reintegrated in the wild.

Situated in the Greater Kruger area, Jabulani is a luxury safari getaway that exudes a distinct African aesthetic with colonial-style décor. Incredibly private, Jabulani has only six suites, promising it’s guests a truly attentive, intimate stay. Families with children can enjoy private accommodation in the luxury, stand-alone Zindoga Villa.

Jabulani guests can enjoy exclusive, immersive opportunities to view the resident herd in close proximity. As well as learning about elephant behaviours, characteristics and the story of Jabulani’s elephants, guests can also elect for an Elephant Experience that includes the chance to meet, touch and feed the elephants.

Why We Love Jabulani

  • The story of Jabulani is incredibly touching. Guests that are interested in getting involved can make a contribution to this Kruger National Park camp’s initiatives by fostering an elephant.
  • There is so much to learn during an excursion to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC). Guests can feed an assortment of animals, touch cheetahs and much, much more.
  • While some game lodges have strict timings for guests activities, Jabulani takes a more tailored approach allowing guests to dictate the schedule based on their preferences.
