One of the original Botswana safari camps, Camp Xakanaxa boasts a prime location in the heart of the Moremi Reserve. Resting on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, Camp Xakanaxa showcases the enchanting life forms that occupy the Okavango Delta through a series of land and water-based activities.

With contrasting landscapes, of riverine forests, vast savannah plains and twisting water channels, guests can enjoy wildlife, bird and plant viewing opportunities all year round through either land-based safari game drives or power boat river rides.

Exuding the essence of the classic tented safari experience, this Okavango Delta camp reminisces the enchanting days of pioneering safari travel with twelve spacious and tastefully furnished Meru-style tents. Built from wood and canvas, the tents each include a private viewing deck and have been raised on wooden platforms in order to offer sweeping views of the river.

The camp’s main areas, including the swimming pool and dining spaces, have been set high on raised platforms in order to maximise the incredible viewing opportunities of the Khwai River.
