Sausage Tree Camp

Lower Zambezi, Zambia

About Sausage Tree Camp

A hidden gem in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, Sausage Tree Camp is an exclusive luxury bush camp that offers a spectacular experience of the Zambian wild.

Resting on the banks of the Zambezi River, Sausage Tree Camp boasts an utterly enviable location, offering guests incredible views of narrow channels and reed islands, with the mighty Zambezi escarpment as the backdrop.

Sausage Tree Camp includes five luxury suites, two honeymoon suites and one family suite. Each suite has been designed to embody the spirit of a Bedouin-style tent, seeing wooden structures, flowing drapery and minimalistic furnishings come together to enhance the already luxurious and spacious aesthetic of the suite. Each suite includes a massive private deck that opens up to the Zambezi River.

Thanks to its location in the Zambezi National Park, a mere stones throw from the river, guests can enjoy exceptional views of the Zambezi and its lifeforms from both the suites and countless spaces in the main areas. With this, photographic opportunities from the camp itself are in abundance, not to mention the fascinating sights seen during game drives and river excursions.

Why We Love Sausage Tree Camp

  • Only accommodating an absolute maximum of 18 guests at a time, Sausage Tree Camp promises a very private, truly bespoke experience in the African bush.
  • With some of the world’s best freshwater fishing on offer, fishing enthusiasts can enjoy guided excursions on the Zambezi River to attempt to catch and then release the famed tigerfish.
  • The camp’s 25m lap pool is a step away from the river itself. Guests can relax at the pool, either swimming or sunbathing, all the while casually watching countless animals pass by.
