On the weekend of the 14th and 15th of July 2018, the village of Franschhoek will become a hive of French-inspired finesse and flair, promising incredible cuisine, world famous wines, live music, fun activities and festival goers dressed to the nines in red, white and blue outfits.

The Franschhoek Bastille Festival Food and Wine Marquee

Set against the backdrop of the historic French Huguenot Monument, the Bastille Food and Wine Marquee is the gastronomic heart of the festival. Here, esteemed chefs and winemakers showcase their talents in the forms of delicious gourmet food and well-loved wines.

At the Bastille Festival Food and Wine Marquee, a number of stalls and stands will sell a plethora of incredible food and wines produce, including local and French cheeses, freshly baked baguettes, handmade chocolates and of course, a plethora of delicious wines.

Activities at the Franschhoek Bastille Festival

Culinary indulgence is not the only thing that this festival has to offer. Art galleries, boutique stores, craft shops and more will stay open all weekend, allowing guests to explore the town’s charming aisles and fall in love with Franschhoek many hidden gems.

As well as the events ever popular barrel rolling competition, Bastille Festival attendees can also enjoy street soccer displays, fly-fishing competitions and good old jolly dancing to live music.
