Boasting an iconic past, the Silo Hotel and the adjoining Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) below were transformed over a period of three years from a former grain silo built in the early 1920s into the spectacular structural display it is today.
From the outside, the Silo Hotel building boasts a dramatic, futuristic aesthetic, on the inside, splashes of colour, bold decorative prints and a collection of incredible, eclectic art pieces create a dazzling display for a truly engaging stay in the mother city.
Each room, which has been individually designed and decorated by the owner Liz Biden, offers jaw-dropping views of the city. As well as a number of bars, bistros and restaurants available on site, the Silo Hotel also offers a fitness centre, a spa, a rooftop bar and a glass swimming pool that overlooks the city.
