Ruckomechi Camp

Mana Pools, Zimbabwe

About Ruckomechi Camp

Resting on the banks of the Zambezi River, with fantastic views of Zambia’s Great Rift Mountains, Ruckomechi Camp, one of Zimbabwe’s most highly esteemed safari camps, is the only reserve in the Mana Pools National Park.

Along with its remote and ultra private location, Ruckomechi Camp only operates during the dry season, from the end of April until November, and thus offers a highly exclusive experience of the Zimbabwean bush.

Ten lavishly spacious and immaculately decorated luxury tents, two of which are family rooms, recall the bygone era of pioneering tented safari travel. Each tent includes its own deck for private game viewing, from which herds of elephant can often be seen casually sampling the pods of the Albida trees around the camp.

With its incredible location, amazing game viewing opportunities, luxury accommodation and five-star finishes, guests staying at Ruckomechi Camp can expect an incredible experience during their African safari.

Why We Love Ruckomechi Camp

  • With a mountain background and riverside location, guests staying at Ruckomechi Camp can look forward to fantastic views and incredible game viewing opportunities.
  • Perfect for couples seeking a romantic escape or time to celebrate together, Ruckomechi Camp’s sleep out-deck at the nearby Parachute Pan offers a romantic night for two under the stars.
  • Another win for couples, Ruckomechi Camp includes an outdoor ‘star bath’ in a secret, secluded spot that offers an extra special experience for couples.
