About Tswalu Kalahari

A private oasis in the heart of the arid savanna biome, Tswalu rests in one of South Africa’s largest private game reserves, the Kalahari.

Allowing no more than 30 guests onto the 100,000-hectare expanse at a time, Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve is simultaneously the largest and most exclusive reserve.

With a varied topography, Tswalu Kalahari boasts rolling dunes, expansive plains and most notably, the Korannaberg Mountains. This mountain range forms a massive basin which acts as a natural rainfall catchment. Thanks to this formation, the area has a healthy water table and can thus attract a phenomenal array of species to the area, particularly rarities such as the pangolin, aardvark and sable antelope.

With this, guests are treated to a number of thrilling outdoor activities and excursions including game drives, night drives and bush walks.
